I’m not sure I should admit this, but…During grad school in Boston, my four roommates and I did a ‘typical girl thing’ and had a Super Party with all the best football snacks set up in a classic spread in front of the TV…and only turned up the volume during commercials. And that was one of the years the New England Patriots were playing in the game.
I went on to marry a man who played college football, so we watch more of the actual game these days. But honestly, for me, Super Bowl is still all about the snacks. And that’s why I wanted to do a round-up of Teaspoon Of Spice’s best appetizers for Super Bowl snacks. Today I’m also tying in with the fabulous Lean Green Bean’s Pin It Party. We’ve ‘met’ some inspiring food and fitness bloggers through Lindsay Livingston’s past Pin It Parties…and we’re excited to participate in today’s party with some pin-able recipes for your football weekend (or any weekend.)
So, please check out a few of Lean Green Bean’s blogger friends also participating in the Pin It Party. And happy Super Bowl weekend…whether you’re watching the actual game – or just the commercials and the snack table (with some of Deanna’s Pepperoni Bread – which I want to try.) And follow our board on Pinterest if you’d like!
Pepperoni Bread – Think pizza meets Italian bread; all soft and cheesy.
Bacon & Roasted Garlic Guacamole – Yup, bacon, avocado and roasted garlic…all smooshed together! Need I say more?!
Hot Corn & Crab Dip – Use fresh or canned crab in this creamy app; substitute frozen, thawed corn for fresh.
Cumin & Chickpea Flatbread – It’s not crazy to make DIY crackers – they are so, so delicious and these are super easy!
Avocado Pimento Cheese – The Southern classic, with an avocado twist.
What will you be eating on Super Bowl Sunday? Are you watching the game or just the commercials?

I've definitely been known to only pay attention to the superbowl during the commercials, so I totally get it! I'm mostly in it for the food anyway...and I love all these healthy options!
