The love of s’mores goes way back in our family. We called Grandma the S’Mores Queen. When she and Grandpa took the family camping, she insisted the perfect camp site was the one with a still-smoldering campfire – so she could roast s’mores before even setting up the tent. And at her giant 90th birthday party, cake wasn’t an option; instead it was roasted, toasted s’mores for everyone.
I’d take s’mores over cake any day too – especially on today, National S’Mores Day.
