Ahh, the unofficial start to summer here in the states: Memorial Day weekend! As I’ve professed many times, I am a summer girl so I get a little bit giddy this time of year, not just for the weather but for the abundance of seasonal items I now can get from farmers markets, my CSA share or generous neighbors’ gardens who share the wealth with this black thumb.

Now, these aren’t meant to taste like a burger but they have the burger look and heartiness to them. The flavors of cumin, jalapeno and oregano in the bean burger are the perfect match to the sweet and tangy mango salsa.
