The Trick to Keep Parchment Paper from Rolling Up
Have you ever been frustrated when parchment paper keeps rolling up on you try? You’ve probably tried to flatten it into a cake pan or onto a baking sheet. I learned this trick a couple years ago and while it’s only two simple steps, it is the true definition of a Healthy Kitchen Hack: an ‘aha idea’ that makes healthy meals and healthy living a snap.
1. Wad up the parchment paper into a loose ball.
2. Smooth the paper flat. Watch: It won’t roll up!
Try it, it works! The Trick to Keep Parchment Paper from Rolling Up via @TspCurry #HealthyKitchenHacks Click To TweetNow, think of all the places you can use this trick:
Zero clean-up after roasting vegetables and/or chicken – Lemon Oregano Sheet Pan Chicken or Roasted Spaghetti Squash
Easily-slip cake out of cake pans – Cinnamon Sugar Quinoa Snacking Cake with Blueberries (pictured below) or my kids’ Best Birthday Cake
Non-stick surface for toasting nuts or 15-Minute Toasted Squash Seeds
Simply transfer scones from pan to plate: Gluten-Free Lemon Coconut Scones
Catch drippings (for easy clean-up) of: Spicy-Sweet Mole Jerky or Bacon Turkey Jerky
How will you used this tip for parchment paper? What’s your favorite way to make cooking a snap using parchment paper?

Such a brilliant idea! I wish I knew this last weekend, and that you had a hack for memory to spray the parchment with cooking spray so the bake didn't stick lol!

Such a great point Liz! It never hurts to spray parchment paper too. Of course, if you don't, you get to scrap the cake crumbs off the paper with a fork and eat them yourself! Which I don't mind doing!
