Love Indian food? Then you must know Monica Bhide – she is an acclaimed food writer, Indian cookbook author and sensational speaker (I got to hear her speak at Eat Write Retreat this year and it was thrill to get to chat with her, too.) So, when she asked if I would write a guest post for her enticing blog, A Life of Spice, of course I said, yes, yes!
So, here’s my post on the health benefits of Indian spices – specifically cayenne, coriander, cumin and turmeric – it’s pretty cool to think about all the nutrition packed into a few teaspoons of these super flavor enhancers – consider adding these guys to your spice rack, if you haven’t already.

The health benefits of spices never ceases to amaze me. I just blogged about turmeric and it blows me away when it comes to its medicinal benefits. A real eye opener when I read (via a valid study) that as an anti-inflammatory it is just as potent as some prescription drug anti-inflammatories!

Great article on the health benefits of these spices. I was introduced to a lot of these spices while living with an Indian roommate. These spices are great natural supplements to boost our immune systems and promote healthy living.
