- 1-inch fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
- 2 pears, cored and chopped
- 5 apples (I used Fuji), cored and chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- In a pot over medium heat, add all ingredients. Bring to a boil and then let simmer for about 20 minutes. Blend with immersion blender or food processor.
