Take your summer watermelon to a new refreshing level with these watermelon lemonade frozen treats.

- 3 1/2 cups chopped watermelon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 3/4 cups water, divided
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 4 small lemons)
Instructions
- To make watermelon juice, blend chopped watermelon in a blender until it turns to liquid. Strain through a fine mesh strainer (you’ll want about 2 cups of watermelon juice.) Set aside.
- To make lemonade, make a simple syrup on the stove in a small saucepan by whisking together sugar and ¼ cup water. Place over medium heat and heat until just simmering and sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool a bit.
- Whisk in lemon juice.
- In a freezable container, mix together watermelon juice, lemonade and remaining 1 1/2 cups of water. Place in freezer and freeze overnight.
- Before serving, let sit on the counter for about 10 – 15 minutes until it thaws a bit. Chip at it with a butter knife and then scoop with ice cream scooper into four glasses. Serve with spoons.
