Rainbow Smoothie Sampler

One of the tasty ways to get in your fruits (and veggies) by way of fruit smoothies! A rainbow of flavors with this simple smoothie recipe.


  • 1/2 cup frozen fruit (see suggestions below)
  • 1/2 cup lowfat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup lowfat 1% milk

Red smoothie:

  • Raspberries, strawberries, beets

Orange smoothie:

  • Oranges, cantaloupe, peaches, carrots

Yellow smoothie:

  • Bananas, mangoes, pineapples

Green smoothie:

  • Kiwifruit, avocado, spinach

Purple smoothie:

  • Dark cherries, grapes, blueberries, blackberries


  1. In a blender, puree fruit, yogurt and milk until thoroughly blended. Add a little more milk if too thick.
