One of the tasty ways to get in your fruits (and veggies) by way of fruit smoothies! A rainbow of flavors with this simple smoothie recipe.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup frozen fruit (see suggestions below)
- 1/2 cup lowfat vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup lowfat 1% milk
Red smoothie:
- Raspberries, strawberries, beets
Orange smoothie:
- Oranges, cantaloupe, peaches, carrots
Yellow smoothie:
- Bananas, mangoes, pineapples
Green smoothie:
- Kiwifruit, avocado, spinach
Purple smoothie:
- Dark cherries, grapes, blueberries, blackberries
Instructions
- In a blender, puree fruit, yogurt and milk until thoroughly blended. Add a little more milk if too thick.
