Savory Rosemary Goat Cheese Quick Bread

Savory Rosemary Goat Cheese Quick Bread

Savory quick bread recipe

It’s chilly. You want to make a pot of soup. (Here are lots of healthy and quick options: Healthy Homemade Soups)

Now you want to make a loaf of bread to go with that homemade soup. But you do not want to wait around for yeast bread to rise.

Enter this Savory Rosemary Goat Cheese Quick Bread that I did for the Food Network’s HealthyEats blog. It goes together quickly and bakes up while your soup simmers. (Substitute Cheddar if goat cheese isn’t your thing.)

And you could even call it a high-protein bread with 4 grams of protein per slice and only 129 calories.

How is it that I've never thought to put goat cheese in bread?! Can't wait to try this one :)

Anne I've done Cheddar before - and it's great. But I've been doing lots of goat cheese combos lately: Sundried tomatoes and goat cheese and pinenuts is really yummy! (:

Loved reading your post! So many wonderful tips/suggestions! I've been obsessed with parsnips lately and would've never thought to add them to breads! Brilliant, my friend ;) WIll definitely have to make soon since I've been eating my share of soups lately. Hope you're doing well!!

Thanks Min! Parsnips are so fun. They're as adaptable as carrot - but a SOMETHING different which is fun! Your comment is very kind. (:
