Have you traded in your glass for a bowl?
I’m somewhat late to the smoothie bowl craze (hence there’s only one smoothie bowl recipe on our blog to date) but I figured it’s better late than never to start to make them a more consistent part of my and my 8 year old’s eating routine.
So, I asked my fellow food-loving dietitian bloggers for their favorite smoothie bowl recipes and boy, did they deliver. With this round-up, you could enjoy a new smoothie bowl recipe every day for over two weeks and never get bored.

- Let them use the blender (with supervision for younger kids)
- Set up a topping bar so they can chose their toppings like fresh/frozen or dried fruits, nuts, seeds, shredded unsweetened coconut and nut butters
- Serve familiar toppings along with one or two new foods – they’re more apt to try new foods out along side familiar foods and when they are in control of the quantity of the meal
